How to apply SINGPASS

Singpass is Singapore's trusted digital identity for convenient and secure access to thousands of government and private sector services, online and in person. If you are a Singapore citizen or resident, you can apply for Singpass using the following steps:

  1. Visit the Singpass website at https://www.singpass.gov.sg/ and click on "Register for Singpass".
  2. Fill in your personal details such as your NRIC number, date of birth, email address and mobile number. You will also need to create a password and set up your two-factor authentication (2FA) method. You can choose between SMS OTP, Singpass app or OneKey token as your 2FA method.
  3. Verify your identity using your NRIC and a photo of yourself. You can either scan your NRIC using the Singpass app or upload a photo of your NRIC and a selfie using the website. Make sure your NRIC and face are clear and visible in the photos.
  4. Confirm your registration details and submit your application. You will receive an email confirmation with a link to activate your Singpass account within 24 hours.
  5. Click on the link in the email and log in to your Singpass account using your NRIC, password and 2FA. You can now access over 2,700 services by over 800 government agencies and businesses with your Singpass.
